Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon sriracha optional
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add sesame oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and chili flakes or sriracha. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  5. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse lightly.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back into the pan with the sauce. Add noodles and toss everything to coat evenly.
  7. Cook together for another 2 minutes until fully combined and heated through.
  8. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

- Use thighs for a juicier option.
