  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets to skillet, stirring well. Cook for 4-5 minutes until bright green and just tender.
  5. Toss shrimp into skillet with broccoli. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Cook shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.
  7. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and broccoli. Stir to combine.
  8. Remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in a skillet over medium-low heat to maintain texture.
