Easy smash burger tacos with crispy beef patties smashed under tortillas, melty cheese, crunchy toppings, and a zippy sauce—ready in 15 minutes!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef (80/20)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
10 cracks fresh black pepper
6 six-inch flour tortillas
6 slices muenster or provolone cheese
Shredded lettuce
Chopped white onion
Dill pickle chips
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon mustard
2 tablespoons minced bread & butter pickles
1 tablespoon pickle brine
10 cracks fresh black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Mix burger sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed.
2. Season beef with salt and pepper, then roll into 2 1/2-ounce balls.
3. Heat griddle on high until smoking hot.
4. Place beef ball on griddle, top with tortilla, and smash thin.
5. Cook 2–3 minutes until edges crisp, pressing again midway.
6. Flip to tortilla side, add cheese, and cook 2 minutes.
7. Remove from griddle, add sauce and toppings, serve hot.
Notes
Flour tortillas work best since they absorb beef drippings and crisp evenly. Sauce can be made 3 days ahead.
