This Low-Carb turkey bacon Cheeseburger Casserole combines all the rich flavors of a cheeseburger in a creamy, comforting dish that is easy to prepare.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
6 slices turkey bacon, cooked
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 large eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: chopped green onions, diced tomatoes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Sauté onion and garlic in the skillet until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Brown the ground beef in the skillet, drain excess grease.
5. Combine turkey bacon with beef in the skillet.
6. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
7. Spread beef mixture in a greased 8×8-inch baking dish.
8. Layer 1 cup of cheese over the meat.
9. Pour the egg mixture over the layers.
10. Top with remaining cheese.
11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden.
12. Cool briefly, then garnish if desired.
