Description
This halal-friendly knob sandwich is bold, satisfying, and ready in 10 minutes. Layers of fresh veggies, deli meat, and cheese come together for the perfect lunch bite.
Ingredients
3 slices halal deli meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
2 slices halal cheese
2 leaves fresh lettuce
2 slices tomato
2 slices avocado
3 slices cucumber
1 tbsp mayonnaise or mustard (halal-certified)
2 slices bread
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Wash and slice your veggies: tomato, cucumber, avocado, and lettuce. Pat dry.
2. Toast the bread slices (optional).
3. Spread mayo or mustard on one or both bread slices.
4. Layer lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and avocado.
5. Add halal deli meat slices, followed by cheese slices.
6. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Top with the second slice of bread and press gently.
8. Slice diagonally and serve.
Notes
Use hummus instead of avocado for a Middle Eastern twist.
Swap in spicy halal pepperoni or pastrami if desired.
Wrap in parchment and store in the fridge up to 24 hours.
