Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 pound Italian sausage

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

3 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into 1” pieces

2 tablespoons avocado oil

1 jar low-carb marinara sauce

1 cup low moisture full fat mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon parsley, chopped


Instructions

1. Combine ground beef, Italian sausage, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and garlic powder in a large bowl.

2. Pour avocado oil into an oven-safe pan, covering the bottom.

3. Form meat mixture into balls, placing a piece of cheese in the center of each. Place in the pan.

4. Broil meatballs in the oven for 12 minutes until browned.

5. Remove from oven, pour marinara sauce over meatballs, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

If low-moisture mozzarella is unavailable, ask a store worker for assistance.
