A flavorful, low-carb twist on a party classic.
Ingredients
12 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup finely crushed turkey bacon rinds
1 large egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and crumbled turkey bacon.
3. Fill each jalapeño half with cheese mixture.
4. Dip filled jalapeños in beaten egg, then coat with crushed turkey bacon rinds.
5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tops are golden.
Notes
Wear gloves when handling jalapeños.
For milder bites, remove all seeds and membranes.
Can be assembled a day ahead and baked before serving.
