Description
Sticky, sweet-savory honey garlic ground beef made in 20 minutes. Quick and flavorful dinner perfect over rice or in lettuce wraps.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
2 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional)
1 tbsp neutral oil
2 green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add ground beef and let brown undisturbed for 2–3 minutes.
3. Break up meat and cook until fully browned.
4. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch + water.
6. Pour sauce into skillet and simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes.
7. Drizzle with sesame oil, if using.
8. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
9. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or in lettuce cups.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chili flakes or sriracha.
Use tamari for a gluten-free option.
Store leftovers in fridge up to 4 days.
