Description
This Garlic Parmesan Chicken recipe features a rich, garlic-infused sauce with Parmesan cheese and grape juice + a splash of vinegar.
Ingredients
1 ¾ cups chicken broth
¼ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon honey
½ chicken bouillon cube
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon parsley
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt
Pepper
2 teaspoons parsley
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
¾ cup dry grape juice + a splash of vinegar
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
1. Combine sauce ingredients in a measuring cup and set aside.
2. Slice chicken in half lengthwise and pound to ½ inch thick. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4-5 minutes per side. Set aside.
4. Turn off heat, addgrape juice + a splash of vinegar, and set to medium. Scrape skillet bottom, reduce for 2 minutes. Add garlic, cook 2-3 minutes.
5. Add butter and flour, stir to combine. Cook 1-2 minutes.
6. Add sauce mixture in small splashes, stirring. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer for 8 minutes.
7. Reduce heat, sprinkle in Parmesan, stir in lemon juice.
8. Return chicken, spoon sauce on top. Heat through for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Grate cheese from a block for better melting.
Use Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc. Substitute with chicken broth if needed.
Use a wide, 12-inch skillet for proper sauce reduction.
