Description

A warm, rustic dessert made with fresh peaches and a buttery biscuit topping. Simple to make, big on flavor, and perfect with ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale

68 fresh peaches (about 4 cups), peeled and sliced

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup milk

1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a bowl, combine peaches, lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

3. Pour peach mixture into the prepared dish.

4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.

5. Pour batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.

6. Drizzle melted butter over the top.

7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches for best flavor.

You can leave the skins on if you like more texture.

Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
