Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed

3/4 cup cold buttermilk

1 cup fresh blueberries (or 3/4 cup dried, soaked and dried)

2 tablespoons melted butter


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Add cold butter cubes and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. Gently fold in blueberries.

5. Make a well in the center and pour in cold buttermilk. Stir until just combined.

6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.

7. Cut biscuits with a biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet.

8. Brush tops with melted butter.

9. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes
